In 1999, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation awarded a five-year, $50 million grant to the Alliance for Cervical Cancer Prevention (ACCP), a group of five international organizations with a shared goal of working to prevent cervical cancer in developing countries.

Advocating for Effective Cervical Cancer Prevention Programs and Policy

We encourage you to use and adapt the materials listed below in your work to raise awareness about cervical cancer and to improve related programs and policies. These resources have been developed to provide decision makers (such as Ministry of Health officials, health care providers, and reproductive health program planners) with current information on cervical cancer prevention in developing countries. The information is designed to help them establish how programs and policies can be developed or modified in order to strengthen cervical cancer prevention services.
